Privacy Policy
What we collect, what we don't, and what happens to it.
Last updated August 3, 2026
The short version
This website has no forms, no login, no shopping cart and no analytics. It does not collect anything from you as you read it. We only hold information you give us when you call or email to arrange lessons, and we do not sell it to anyone.
What we collect, and when
We collect information in two situations, neither of which is browsing this site:
- When you contact us. If you call or email, we keep your name, phone number, email address and whatever you tell us about the lessons you want, for example the student’s age, the school they attend, or a pickup address.
- When you become a student. California requires a licensed driving school to keep records of the training it provides. That means we keep the student’s name and address, permit or license number, the dates and hours of instruction given, and the instructor of record.
What this website does on its own
The pages are static. They set no cookies, use no local storage, and run no analytics or advertising trackers. We do not build a profile of you and we cannot identify you from a visit.
This site loads nothing from anyone else. The typeface is served from here rather than from Google Fonts, and there is no map embed, no video player, no social widget and no advertising pixel on any page, so your IP address is not handed to anyone as you read.
Nothing on this site sends your details anywhere. We plan to add Google Search Console and Google Analytics later. If we do, we will say so here before switching them on.
Links that leave this site
Our online course pages link to a third-party provider, GetDriversEd. Once you follow one of those links you are on their site, under their privacy policy, not ours. We may earn a referral commission on purchases made there. We do not receive their customer records, and we do not pass them yours.
What we do with it
We use your information to arrange and run lessons, to reach you about a booking, and to keep the training records California requires. That is all.
We do not sell, rent, or share your information for anyone else’s marketing. We do not send marketing emails.
Who else sees it
Nobody, with three exceptions: the California DMV, where a training record or certificate has to be reported or produced; our insurer, if there is an incident involving a lesson; and anyone we are legally required to disclose to.
Students under 18
Most of our students are minors, and a parent or guardian is the one who contacts us and arranges training. We do not knowingly collect information directly from a child through this website. There is no way to submit anything through it.
A parent or guardian may ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete what we hold about their child, subject to the training records California requires us to keep. California law also lets a minor request removal of content they posted themselves; we host no user-posted content, so there is nothing of that kind to remove.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted once they are clearly no longer active. Student training records are kept for as long as the California Vehicle Code and the DMV require a licensed driving school to retain them, and then disposed of securely.
Your choices
Call or email us and you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will do so unless we are required to keep a training record.
A note on California privacy law, stated plainly: the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to businesses above certain size thresholds: broadly, more than about $26.6 million in annual revenue, or handling the personal information of 100,000 or more consumers, or making half their revenue from selling personal information. A single-instructor driving school meets none of these, so the CCPA does not impose its obligations on us. We honor access and deletion requests anyway, because it is the right way to treat the information you gave us.
Under California Civil Code section 1798.83, you may ask whether we shared personal information with third parties for their direct marketing. We do not, and never have.
Keeping it safe
We keep what we hold to a minimum, we limit who can see it to the instructor who needs it, and we do not store payment card details. The site takes no payments, and lesson payment is handled directly between you and the school.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. If we start collecting something new, such as a booking form or analytics, we will say so here first.
