These courses are delivered online by GetDriversEd, who is the training provider of record. We are not the provider, and we may receive a referral commission. Behind-the-wheel training in Ventura County is the part we teach ourselves.

Driver education for teens and adults
California Online Teen Drivers Ed
The state-approved online course California requires before a driver under 18 can get a permit.
California Adult Drivers Ed
An optional refresher for adult learners: written-test prep, road confidence, and a possible insurance discount.
Commercial licenses
CDL ELDT theory training
Federal rules require Entry-Level Driver Training before a first CDL, a Class B to A upgrade, or a first hazmat, passenger or school bus endorsement. These courses cover the theory portion only. Behind-the-wheel training comes from a separate provider listed on the FMCSA Training Provider Registry, and Life Safety Driving School does not provide it.
Class A Theory
The federally required theory portion for a first Class A commercial driver license.
Class B Theory
The federally required theory portion for a first Class B commercial driver license.
Class B to A Upgrade
The theory portion required when upgrading an existing Class B license to Class A.
Hazmat Endorsement
The theory training required before taking the hazardous materials endorsement knowledge test.
Passenger Endorsement
The theory portion required before adding a passenger (P) endorsement to a CDL.
School Bus Endorsement
The theory portion required before adding a school bus (S) endorsement to a CDL.
