Where we teach

Service Area

Lessons run across 52 communities in Ventura County, the San Fernando Valley and the Santa Clarita Valley. Pickup and drop-off are included wherever the lesson starts.

California does not assign anyone a DMV office. You may book a drive test at any field office in the state, so the office named on each city page is simply the closest one, not the one you are tied to. Where a student is decides two things: which roads the lessons run on, and what the six hours cost.

The full area

Every community, by region

Ventura County and the Conejo Valley

The home region. Most students here test at Thousand Oaks or Simi Valley, and the office is on Newbury Road.

San Fernando Valley and surrounding

Students here test in the Valley, so lessons work on Valley roads from the first hour.

What it costs where

Distance is part of the price

The six hour course starts at $450 for students under 18. Pickup and drop-off are included, so how far away you are is the single biggest reason two families pay different amounts for the same six hours.

How far away you are

Pickup and drop-off are included, so a longer drive costs more. That is the single biggest reason two students pay different amounts for the same six hours.

How quickly you want it finished

Most students take six months to a year. Compressing that into a few weeks means holding slots open for you, and it is priced accordingly.

How much freeway and canyon work you want

Six hours spent on residential streets is not the same lesson as six hours that include freeway merging and canyon roads. The more of the second, the higher the rate.

Whether the last lesson is the DMV pretest

Where it fits inside the six hours, the final lesson is spent on the route and the maneuvers the examiner will ask for.
