Westlake High students test at Thousand Oaks, a short run up the 101. Lessons here tend to reach freeway driving earlier than elsewhere, because the on-ramps are unavoidable.

Students are collected from the Lakeview Canyon frontage. Triunfo Canyon is the quieter alternative if a lesson starts during the afternoon rush.

California lets you book a drive test at any field office in the state. This is the closest one to campus, and the one most students here use.
Teaching a student from Westlake High
Lakeview Canyon Road runs the length of the student catchment, so most Westlake students are already familiar with it as passengers and have to unlearn some assumptions as drivers.
The 101 on-ramps either side of the school are the usual first freeway merge for students here.
